Jensen's first college football game!

We took Jensen to his first college football game....Georgia Tech vs. UNC. We had great seats in the 11th row and sat with JS and Jordan. Jensen did great throughout the game despite the fact that we were there during his normal nap time! He was checking out the people, the lights, the big screen and the beads around the guy's neck who sat behind us! We made it back to the car just before the rain came...Jensen was out as soon as we hit the road! Such a little trooper:) By the way, Tech won 24-7!

Jensen is 6 months old!

It's hard to believe Jensen is a 1/2 year old! Wow! He's such an amazing blessing....Joe and I are so thankful to have this little guy in our lives!
His personality is really beginning to come out....He's "talking," smiling, laughing and interacting more and more everyday! For those of you who haven't seen Jensen in a while, you might be able to see some of his personality in these pictures!

"Mom, this is so much fun!"

"Mom, come on, I'm 6 months old now! Do we really have to do this every month?"

"Hmmm....what can I get myself into???"

"Ta da...this is me at 6 months!"

"Now this is what I'm talking about...something to play with!"

"Even better...something to EAT!"

"That's a wrap! SIx month photo shoot is over!"

EAT! EAT! EAT!

Does it surprise anyone that Joe's son likes to eat??? Yep, Jensen is definitely going to be just like his daddy! So far Jensen has enjoyed eating avacado, cereal, green beans, sweet peas, sweet potatoes, pumpkin, peaches, prunes and bananas! Here's a few pictures from one of our many messy meals! If I don't get the food to his mouth quick enough, in goes his hand....maybe he thinks food is going to come out of his fingertips!?!?! We're using our baby signs for "more" and "all done." We've introduced juice in his sippy cup too. At this point, he's just getting a little frustrated with trying to figure out how to get the juice out of the cup.

Sleepless nights....The joy of parenting!

As Jensen has approached his 6 month birthday, he's getting bigger and more active! He's very close to sitting up on his own. We think he's started teething as well. We had a near sleepless night with lots of "new" crys and restlessness. We tried rocking him, feeding him, walking him around and nothing seemed to do the trick....until we brought him downstairs, turned on the light, gave him a toy and out came the smiles! The little guy wanted to have a party in the middle of the night! Maybe he didn't realize it was 3AM, not 3PM. Joe walked him around in the driveway, which also seemed to make him happy!
It was one of those nights where Joe and I just looked at each other and didn't know what to do. I guess this is just one of the many mysteries we'll face as parents- and one of the many frustrations of feeling helpless that we will have. It's a reminder how much you can truly love someone....you learn to be completely selfless...I would have given anything to know what the problem was so I could fix it. I broke my heart to hear him so upset!

A messy afternoon!

Jensen's prunes and pear juice finally caught up with him this afternoon! Clean up called for a bath in the kitchen sink. It was adorable!! Joe and I could not stop laughing!!

Peak A Boo and Prunes!

After seeing every single hour on the clock last night, every member of the Gerda household was exhausted today! Poor Jensen is having some tummy issues and wasn't feeling so great last night. We introduced him to prunes this afternoon and we're really hoping that helps the problem!

I decided to pick him up early from school today so he could come home and get a good nap after having very little sleep last night. He napped for a short time (as usual), but was more interested in just hanging out in his pack n play. This little video clip started when I heard Jensen wake up from his nap...I went to the pack n play and he was playing with his lovie. I pulled it up for a second and Jensen just started giggling! He was thrilled to play a little game of peak a boo! That little giggle will make your heart melt:)
