It was a busy day with birthday celebrations. Kennedy's 2nd birthday party in the morning and Charlotte's 2nd in the evening. So much fun! Jensen is beginning to really understand the concept of a birthday...It's no longer ALWAYS Bobo's birthday, we bring the present for the person celebrating the birthday and we must ALWAYS have cake:) It would not be a birthday party without cake! I'm sure glad he's figured that golden rule out at such a young age!
I enjoyed a great night with the kids! We had so much fun hanging out in the backyard...Keaton LOVED the swing and Jensen used his lawnmower, threw the ball to Bailey and simply enjoyed the freedom of running around outside! Just another one of those nights I'm so thankful for everything we have:)
Jensen was talking about this for days! He couldn't wait to go to Little Bears with Elle! And unfortunately this was probably our last Friday playdate for a very long time:( Elle will be starting school on M, W and F in September. We're going to have to figure out some other regular time for Jensen & Elle to play together! These two love each other (and fight) like brother and sister!
Elle loved dressing up at Little Bears! As you can see, she didn't care so much about a shirt, just the skirt and some shoes:)
And there are tons of toys for the little ones too:)
It's so fun to watch Jensen & Keaton change and grow each and every day!
Sweet Bailey playing with Keaton
Jensen is working on spelling...One of his favorite words right now: CAR!
Unlike Jensen, Keaton LOVES gnawing on some fruit, especially pineapple! Feels extra good on those sensitive gums. Eight months old and still no sign of a tooth though!
Our big guy who will be 2 1/2 next month started pre-school this week and loves it! He's going two days a week for 4 hours each day. He has 2 teachers and there are 7 kids in his class - 4 boys and 3 girls. We went to orientation and meet and greet with the teachers last week. Jensen seemed to feel right at home and of course was excited about the bucket of cars in his classroom:)
We've been introduced to car pool - I pull up, a teacher comes to get him from the car and when I pick him up, the teacher puts him back in the car and off we go! Not having to get Keaton in and out is so helpful!
And the proof that Jensen really did have a great time....I had to wake him up at 5:00pm after he'd been napping for 3 hours!!
Our little munchkin is 8 months old! She's such a happy little girl! She's a great sleeper- sleeping about 12 hours at night and taking 2 long (about 2 hours, sometimes more) naps each day. She likes to lay in her crib and play with her lovies and animals. I'm guessing she'll be crawling very soon! After she wakes up and plays in her crib, she moves to all 4's and rocks back and forth. Earlier this week, she pulled herself from a sitting position to standing by the train table. She was so proud of herself as she stood and looked at all the fun toys on top of the train table!
She's also a great eater! She's eating oatmeal & fruit for breakfast, oatmeal & a vegetable for lunch and oatmeal and a fruit and vegetable for dinner. She likes just about everything! I've been making most of her baby food again. We've also introduced the sippy cup with water at some of her meals. She loves feeding herself - puffs, peas and lentils are next on the list.
Jensen is such a great big brother! He brings her all her toys and say, "Ere ya go Keaton!" Last night he helped give her a bottle too.
They're both so precious! Joe and I were just talking tonight about how lucky we are....we're enjoying every moment with them!
Another trip back to WNY! We packed ourselves up and traveled north again for Kimmy & Brent's wedding. Unfortunately because of football and school, Joe couldn't come with us. However, we got the next best thing....Aunt Molly & Uncle Dosh!! Fortunately they were able to fly through Atlanta and help me on the flight. I would have NEVER been able to do it without them! So thankful! Both kids actually did very well on the flights, but it was so nice to have the extra hands!!
We had the best weekend! It was so fun seeing Molly pregnant - she was 28 weeks so she had a definite baby bump:) She's feeling great, looking great and has the cute pregnancy "glow!"
Of course Jensen and Keaton ate up all the extra attention they got!

Jensen's "baby cone" was bigger than my small cone!
