Happy Halloween!

Jensen celebrated his 2nd Halloween today! We had an absolutely wonderful day full of activity....Actually, we had a very busy weekend! On Friday night, we went to Joe's last home football game. Another victory on the books, defeating KMHS 34-7. Their record is now 7-2. Jensen sat on my lap and cheered for almost the entire first quarter. Every time ANYTHING would happen on the field, he'd point and say football! For the second quarter, I chased him as he ran up and down the stadium ramp and under the bleachers. I was exhausted by the end of the night.

On Saturday, we went to a friend's house for a Halloween party. We all got the kids dressed up and let them play all night in their costumes! Surprisingly, they were all happy doing so!! It was fun to get all the kids together and great to have a little adult time at the party as well!

This morning we took a family outing to Cagle's Family Farm. Jensen ran through the corn maize and played on the giant pillow-jumpy thing. It was a beautiful morning and we nearly had the place to ourselves for the first hour or so. He must have been exhausted from all the activity because we had to wake him up after a 3 1/2 hour nap to get dressed for the Halloween festivities tonight. We went to the neighborhood pizza party and then put all the kiddos into wagons and let them trick or treat through the neighborhood. Jensen didn't totally understand the concept. He had more fun running through yards, seeing the dogs at each house and walking in to people's homes. There were a few times he wanted to make sure that each kid got candy. He'd take candy from the bowl and then put it into another kid's basket. And a few times he took something out of his basket to "trade" for the candy the new person was about to give him! It was so cute!

Tonight is Jensen's last night sleeping in the nursery. His big boy room is ready and we'll put him in there for the first time tomorrow night. I was sad tonight when I put him to sleep and spent a little extra time with him, rocking in the chair, reading books, saying prayers and pointing to our eyes, nose and mouth. It's hard to believe we're approaching the next phase of our lives by moving him to another room and welcoming baby #2! It feels as though we were just getting the nursery ready for Jensen and now there's just 8 more weeks until our due date!

A very busy and fun weekend has come to an end. Back to work and school for everyone tomorrow!
