Time has slipped away again!!!

Tons to update, because of course I've let too much time slip by again! The past 6 weeks has been busy with a 1/2 marathon, vacation, illness, school, work, t-ball, dance, Joe's track season and fun with friends! So I'm going to do my best to do a quick update and then get back on track with regular updates!

In November, a small KSU Team In Training team was started. Although we had a larger team to start, Kandice, Jasmine and I were the lone members to cross the finish line!

Yes! We finished!! Official finish time: 2:12:35

Couldn't have done it without these two!!

Our Georgia Team raised over $90,000 for LLS!
This was the first time the kids had been to one my races! It was awesome to see their smiling faces at the finish line!!! As soon as I crossed, I could hear Keaton's little voice saying, "Mommy! Mommy!"

Spring Break 2014
Florida
We had an awesome break this year! It started out a bit rocky...Keaton came down with a stomach bug the week before we left. I ended up with it the Friday before we left and Keaton go to school that day so my day planned for packing, pedicure and tying up loose ends consisted of short naps on the cough, watching cartoons with Keaton and attempting to get packed. Pack a little, sleep a little, pack a little, sleep a little!
We spent the first two days in Orlando. Because the kids are still at an age that we can get away with this, we stayed at a hotel/resort with fun pools and took the kids to Downtown Disney, which is FREE! The kids had a blast! Jensen ended up getting the stomach bug that Sunday, but he bounced back pretty quick and there was still lots of laughs and smiles!! We couldn't keep Jensen off the giant water slide! And Keaton loved the "volleyball pool!"

On Monday, we drove to Anna Maria Island, where we met up with Nana & Bapa. It was another awesome week of swimming in the pool, playing in the sand, eating ice cream and just enjoying the week together!! The kids were so well behaved and had the best time playing with each other. They're at such a great age right now...getting more and more independent...and always entertaining!

Jensen "at college!"
Playing with wood chips at college!

Finished the afternoon with an ice cream cone! A must when you have strep throat!!!

Jensen came down with strep throat last weekend. Even though he felt better and was fever free by Monday, we needed to keep him out from school just to be safe. So I took Jensen "to college" with me! He's been talking about wanting to go to college for the past year and was excited to spend the day with me. We packed a bag of activities - he played while I worked in my office for awhile. Then we went outside, played and walked around.

He decided he wanted to teach the students about wood chips and the danger of rubbing your hand on wood causing splinters. So when the students arrived for class, they were all excited to see my little guy. I shared the story with them about the wood chips and then decided to share the home video of Jensen from last March. In this video, he's obsessed with the idea of going to college and wanting to go now, not when he turns 18. My students got a kick out of the video and gave Jensen a round of applause after the video! Jensen thought it was awesome!!
